Her workshops are so much more than an opportunity to gather required CEU’s. Each one is a gift that keeps on giving and has challenged me to raise the bar in my personal and professional life. This is a 1.0 PS CEU course. As ASL interpreters, technology plays a crucial role in both professional and personal life. From AI-powered captioning tools to virtual interpreting platforms, advancements in technology have reshaped the way interpreters engage with their work. However, the integration of AI and digital tools also brings challenges, including increased screen time, digital overload, and the pressure to keep up with evolving tech.

This course explores the intersection of AI, technology, and self-care, helping interpreters identify the ways in which digital tools can either support or hinder their well-being. Participants will gain insights into practical strategies for using AI and technology mindfully, setting digital boundaries, and ensuring a balanced approach to tech adoption. By the end of the course, interpreters will be equipped with knowledge and tools to leverage technology in ways that enhance rather than detract from their self-care practices.

  1. Complete a high-level review of the impact of AI and technology on self-care and well-being.
  2. Identify the difference between supportive and non-supportive tech tools.
  3. Apply strategies to use AI and technology mindfully for self-care.
  4. Establish digital boundaries to prevent tech-related stress and burnout.
  5.  Evaluate personal tech habits and implement changes for a healthier digital balance.
  6. Reflect on whether keeping up with tech advancements aligns with your personal  mission.
